Healing With Massage Therapy in Nepean and Ottawa
Registered Massage Therapy is a manual modality that focuses on the soft tissues of the human body. A Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is extensively trained to provide personalized treatment to each individual. Their skills enable them to accurately evaluate, palpate, and treat a multitude of conditions. They will also guide you through the home care necessary between visits.
The benefits of massage include overall improvements in circulation, sleep quality, stress reduction, and physical tension. However, RMTs are also able to treat a multitude of specific conditions, such as:
- Sports Massage and Injury Recovery
- Chronic Repetitive Conditions, such as carpal tunnel syndrome
- Degenerative Disc Disease symptoms
- Migraines and headaches
- Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction
- Frozen shoulder
- Motor Vehicle Collision Conditions, such as whiplash
- Pre and post-surgical conditions (Lymphatic and C-section recovery)
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Medical and Cosmetic)
- Pre- and postnatal conditions, to name a few!
Your body works hard to maintain your busy lifestyle!
Regular massage therapy provides the relaxation and recovery your body needs to keep up.
RMT Education
Registered Massage Therapists complete their training at the college level. This comprises a comprehensive 2200 hours of training before applying for their provincial exams. Once registered, they can pursue other avenues to customize care for their clients.
At Triada, all of our RMTs are in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (www.cmto.com). In some cases, they are also a part of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (www.rmtao.com).
