Stefanie Manthey

ACUPUNCTURIST

Stefanie completed her degree as a Registered Acupuncturist at the International Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ottawa.

She also received her Ph.D. from the medical school of Justus Liebig and Heinrich Heine University in Germany. She worked for several years as a doctor in the neurosurgical department.

Stefanie was first introduced to Chinese Medicine when her father – a pediatrician – used acupuncture and Tui Na (Chinese massage) to treat children in his clinic. When working as a medical doctor, she experienced an anesthesiologist using acupuncture. It left a lifelong impression.

Stefanie practices acupuncture with joy and compassion. She is a strong advocate for a therapeutic balance between traditional acupuncture therapies and modern Western Medicine approaches.

“I have always been fascinated by the interaction between the body and mind and the remarkable impact that acupuncture has on the health and well-being of individuals.”

She knows how frustrating sports injuries can be and consequently has a particular interest in the treatment of muscular-skeletal conditions.

Due to her experiences in the neurosurgical field, she is also passionate about emphasizing the treatment of stress-related conditions and neurological disorders.

She firmly believes, that along with treating patients with acupuncture, lifestyle changes are very necessary.

Stefanie is licensed as an R.Ac  with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO)
