Rene Schneider McGuffin

Rene received her Masters in Acupuncture from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, a school rooted in the teachings of Five Element Acupuncture and committed to bridging ancient wisdom and contemporary science. She has subsequently devoted her post degree studies to Classical Chinese Medicine, studying with renowned Chinese medical masters Jeffery Yuen and Ann Cecil-Sterman, both of New York City.

Prior to her career in Chinese Medicine, Rene dedicated her early work to tackling global hunger through innovative nutrition and agricultural programs at the United Nations. It was during her 12+ years living overseas, including time spent in China, that Rene first began to explore and experience for herself and her family the benefits of Chinese medicine. She is passionate about acupuncture, as both a means to transform our health and heal, as well as a form of preventative medicine, correcting imbalances before they manifest as disease.

As a licensed Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO), Rene works with patients on a range of health issues, including auto-immune disorders, women’s health and fertility, mental wellness and stress reduction, pain relief, cancer care and ‘last resort’ cases that other healthcare modalities have not helped.
